2023 Candidate Endorsements

East Tennessee Realtors®, a nonpartisan trade association with more than 6,000 members across the region, is proud to endorse candidates for the upcoming City of Knoxville elections.

The following is a list of candidates endorsed by East Tennessee Realtors®, along with quotes from each candidate:

  • Indya Kincannon for City of Knoxville Mayor: “Dedicated real estate professionals are critical partners in furthering my top priorities for our city - namely vibrant communities and quality housing for every type of family at every price point. I am grateful for the endorsement of East Tennessee Realtors.”
  • Lynne Fugate for Knoxville City Council At-Large Seat A: "I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of East Tennessee Realtors. As a former mortgage lender and commercial lender, I worked alongside Realtors to help families achieve the American dream of homeownership. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the housing and development needs of our city. I am committed to continuing to work on housing affordability and improving development services in Knoxville."
  • Tim Hill for Knoxville City Council At-Large Seat C: “East Tennessee Realtors has been a leading voice in the efforts to address the growing housing crisis in Knoxville. As Chair of the Planning Commission, I have supported such policies and if elected to City Council, I will continue to work closely with ETR to develop and implement policies that make our city a more vibrant, affordable place to live, work, and raise a family. I am honored to receive the endorsement of East Tennessee Realtors and I look forward to working with them to make Knoxville a better place for everyone.”

The association's board of directors made the decision after careful consideration of the candidates' positions on issues important to the real estate industry, including housing affordability, property rights, and economic development.
